Snooki was once one of the highest paid reality stars at $1.95 million a season for Jersey Shore, until it all ended in December.

More recently, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi worked hard for far less on Dancing with the Stars, on which the celebrity contestants make a reported $200,000 per season (plus bonuses depending on how long they stay on the show).

Vanderpump rules when it comes to salary on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

The restaurateur got a Bravo spinoff show about her eateries—and also appeared on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars last season, reportedly making $200,000 for learning to rumba.

And what about her controversial co-star, Brandi Glanville? Eddie Cibrian’s ex reportedly only brought home $125,000 for last season.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta is still at the top of the housewife heap, and even supporting players Bailey and Parks reap the benefits.

When asked what it takes to be a great housewife, fashion school owner Bailey laughed, “Patience, prayer, and a great bottle of wine.” Attorney Parks, known for her bootylicious workout tape, will be coming back to feud with co-star Kenya Moore in the show this fall.

Teresa Joe Giudice

Book ‘em has a whole new meaning for The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice these days.

As the reality star and best-selling author awaits sentencing on charges of fraud, RadarOnline.com has learned that she can’t depend on her literary ventures to pay her legal bills: Industry records show that sales of Giudice’s books have been dismal since her legal troubles unfolded, with sales of her most recent title falling more than 97% as the extent of her scam unfolded!

According to figures from Nielsen BookScan, Giudice’s book, Fabulicious! On The Grill sold 5,920 copies from its May 1, 2013, release date until the end of the year.

From January to now, however, it’s sold a PALTRY 80 copies — a more than 97% decrease in sales rate!

Sales of her other, older copies have been similarly unimpressive in light of her legal issues. Fabulicious! Fast & Fit sold at a rate of just over 1,000 copies per month up until the first of this year, amassing 20,875 copies sold since its May 2012 release. From January until now, however, it’s sold only 125 copies. That’s an 88% decrease in sales rate.

Fabulicious! Teresa’s Italian sold 115 copies this year, a sad shadow of the 42,000 it’s sold since its May 2011 publication. And Skinny Italian sold just 145 copies this year, compared to 94,000 sold since May 2010, all according to the Nielsen BookScan U.S. Consumer Market Panel, which currently covers approximately 85% of the print book market and continues to grow.

It’s unclear how much Giudice, 41, makes from the sale of each book, but it is certain that her fortunes are fading in light of her legal issues.

As Radar has reported, the dire state of Giudice’s finances has left her with little choice but to sell her Towaco, New Jersey, mansion in the near future.

“Her book sales have been very low, and Teresa hasn’t been offered any gigs for paid promotional appearances either,” the source continued. “It’s a foregone conclusion, Teresa absolutely will have to sell her beloved New Jersey mansion. She’s terrified she could end up homeless.”

And according to a new report in OK! magazine, she’s even resorted to asking her friends for cash as shefaces prison time.

Giudice and her husband, Joe, were indicted on financial fraud charges last summer, with more chargesfollowing in the late fall. Both plead guilty to all charges on March 4.

She may be in hot water with Hannibal Pictures, but Sonja Morgan is raking in the dough from her work on Real Housewives of New York City.

According to documents filed in her bankruptcy case, Morgan is set to make $426,500 from the reality TV show. No wonder she was one of the first to sign back onto the show!

Prior to the start of production on season 6, certain cast members refused to sign their contracts over salary disputes. Countess LuAnn de Lesseps was the last one to give Bravo her John Hancock.

The documents filed by Hannibal Pictures, the production company that sued Morgan for failing to raise money for a movie involving John Travolta, states, “Morgan’s current annual gross earned income of $426,500 derived from her employment as a performer on the reality television program The Real Housewives of New York, as reported in her monthly operating reports filed with the Court.”

READ: The Documents Here!

Morgan was forced to file bankruptcy because of the $7 million judgment — which reached a staggering $8.5 million total with interest and attorneys’ fees included, RadarOnline.com previously exclusively reported.

Judge Rita Miller not only upheld the financial settlement, but she also gave Hannibal Pictures an additional year to enforce a lien on Morgan’s earnings and assets.

'Real Housewives' Star Joe Giudice Sentenced To 41 Months In Jail For Fraud

"Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Joe Giudice, husband of Teresa Giudice, has just been sentenced to 41 months in prison on conspiracy and bankruptcy fraud charges.

Joe was also ordered to pay $414,588.90 in restitution and enter an alcohol treatment program in prison.

Sentencing for his wife, Teresa Giudice, has yet to be announced.

District Court Judge Esther Salas said that if Teresa is sentenced to prison, he will stagger the sentence so at least one parent will be available to take care of their four daughters. Teresa could get 21 to 27 months in prison.

The couple had pleaded guilty in March to hiding assets from bankruptcy creditors and submitting phony loan applications to get around $5 million in mortgages and construction loans.

"They both looked serious and sad," an E! News eyewitness observed in court today. TMZ adds, "Both Joe and Teresa dissolved into tears as the judge tore into them."

Meanwhile, Teresa's Instagram account is filled with happier family moments:

'Real Housewives Of New Jersey' Star Teresa Giudice Gets 15 Months In Prison

"Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Teresa Giudice
has just been sentenced to 15 months in prison by a federal judge on multiple fraud charges that she pleaded guilty to earlier this year

The ruling comes a few hours after her husband, Joe Giudice, was sentenced to 41 months in prison.

Judge Esther Salas said the sentences would be staggered, so when one is in prison, the other can take care of the couple's four children.

"Teresa was hysterical... she made a plea to the judge to give her house arrest instead of time behind bars so she could care for her kids,"reports TMZ. "Before sentencing, Teresa begged the judge for leniency, saying she is in a deep depression and her life is now ruined.  She says all she cares about is her kids and she has no interest anymore in TV shows."

Teresa addressed the court before sentencing, at one point breaking down in tears, saying: "Thank you for letting me address the court today. I wrote this last night because I get nervous when I speak," she began. "I speak as a wife, a mother, and a daughter. Today I am blessed but I am also humbled. I hear you and what you are saying, and it is time for me to wake up."

Teresa has to surrender to authorities on January 5 next year, but things could have ended up worse for her.

According to the sentencing guidelines, the reality star should have received a sentences of 21 to 27 months in prison. "Prosecutors recommended 21, but the judge went way more lenient," says TMZ.

At his sentencing, Joe told the court that he was “humiliated” by his actions and also took “full responsibility” for the consequences.

The couple's prison sentences stem from bankruptcy, bank, and mortgage fraud charges totaling more than $4 million.

A 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' star blew the whistle that led to Bank of America's $16.65 billion settlement

Jim Marchese

You may recognize the serial whistleblower who helped the Justice Department get its $16.65 billion settlement with Bank of America last year from his role on The Real Housewives of New Jersey.

Jim Marchese and his wife, Amber, are cast members on the reality TV show — but in his downtime, Marchese, who owns a local New Jersey mortgage firm, likes to take fraudsters to court, reports The Wall Street Journal's Christina Rexrode.

It's not a bad side gig: in his lawsuit against Bank of America, in which the bank was accused of making bad mortgage investments leading up to the financial crisis, Marchese reportedly received $8.5 million for tipping the government off.

Back in 2007, when he blew the whistle on his own company — a pharmaceutical firm that allegedly defrauded Medicare — Marchese scored $1.6 million for his efforts, the Journal reported.

Of course, the money is not why Marchese says he does it.

"I’m trained as an attorney, I’m Sicilian, and I’m from New Jersey," Marchese told the Journal. "If I see you kick a puppy, I’m going to say something. It’s not within me to not say something."

Pretty altruistic for a guy known for regularly blowing up in his friends' faces on television.

Here's a NSFW example of that:

Memorial Day Weekend may be the kickoff to Hamptons season, the time when New Yorkers flee the city and run wild on Long Island's South Fork, but July 4 is when the East End party circuit really starts to grind.

From an upper-crust art fête to a PR maven's yacht party, here's an inside look at the Hamptons Fourth of July celebrations that made waves this weekend.

The most fashionable party of the long weekend was definitely the Revolve kickoff at this gorgeous house in Sagaponack.

Nancy Pelosi had a crummy time in the Hamptons this weekend

Revelers at Southampton's Capri Hotel kept House minority leader Nancy Pelosi up until 4 am last Saturday night, according to the New York Post's Page Six.

But what's really interesting is that, earlier in the night, the 75-year-old was denied a table at the hotel's restaurant and lounge, Beautique, which is the Hamptons offshoot of a New York City hot spot of the same name. You might know it from such shows as "The Real Housewives of New York City."

Here's the scene — complete with "housewives"— at Beautique in midtown Manhattan.

And here's a photo taken at Beautique in Southampton on the night when Pelosi was rebuffed.

 on

It's not the sort of place where you'd expect to spot the top Democrat in the House of Representatives.

Page Six reports that "guests like Howard Stern already had tables" when Pelosi was turned away for not having a reservation, but that Beautique did serve her a meal in her room.

Hotel Capri and Beautique are known to get a little rowdy (loud techno music, people dancing on tables, the usual Hamptons behavior), and they tell hotel guests as much when they book.

Maybe next time Pelosi's aids should put her up in a quieter spot, like the idyllic Topping Rose House, and actually get her a dinner reservation. Gawker's Gabrielle Bluestone gave some solid suggestions for the latter.

How one simple mistake cost 'Real Housewives' superstar Bethenny Frankel millions

Skinnygirl founder Bethenny Frankel says the word 'no' changed her life

Bethenny Frankel is currently balancing starring on "Real Housewives of New York City," running the Skinnygirl empire, writing best-selling books, and being mom to five-year-old daughter, Bryn.

But the 45-year-old has recently started using one word that has changed her life for the better: "no."

"I just said no to a TV show, I said no to a radio show, I said no to a clothing line. I say no all the time, more than yes," Frankel told Business Insider while promoting her latest line of healthy Skinnygirl snacks in New York City.

Frankel stressed one point specifically,"Yes becomes so much more powerful when you say no."

"I used to be a scrambled mess, running around, not happy," she explained. "You can't do anything great that way, so now I feel like I'm really focusing my attention on what I'm doing."

Frankel's current philosophy is different than the one she employed in the past.

"You're trained that if someone calls and wants to pay you to do something, that you should say yes, but I don't believe in that anymore," Frankel said. "You don't have to do everything, and people will get sick of you. You don't have to be everywhere and do everything. You don't have to say yes to everything."

Lady Gaga recently said she subscribes to a similar philosophy.

Skinnygirl founder Bethenny Frankel has some great advice for working moms

Bethenny Frankel says she's found the key to a work-life balance: keeping them separate.

"As far as professional and motherhood, when I'm working, I'm completely working and I'm focused," Frankel told INSIDER while promoting her new line of Skinnygirl snacks in New York City. "When I'm with my daughter, I'm completely focused on that and I'm not working."

Frankel stars on "The Real Housewives of New York City," runs the Skinnygirl empire, is a best-selling author, and is mom to 5-year-old daughter, Bryn.

"I create my entire schedule and life so it's separated," the 45-year-old added. "And it works really well because I am as much a mom as I am a businesswoman. And vice versa. I love having this legacy to leave for her, and I love that she'll see that I work, but I don't miss her drop-offs and pick-ups, and I don't do work instead of being with her, ever."

Frankel encourages other working moms to "not be so hard on yourself."

"You have to just know that you're a good person, your child — when they're at school — is where they're supposed to be; when they're playing with their friends, it's what they're supposed to be doing," she explained. "And it's quality time when you're with them. Be present and focused and let them know how much you love them."

If Skinnygirl founder and author Bethenny Frankel could time travel, there's one thing she'd go back and say one thing to her 20-year-old self: It's okay not to have everything figured out.

During a recent interview with Business Insider, the entrepreneur reminisced about taking a bartending course upon graduating from college.

Frankel has never actually worked as a bartender, but she did go on to found a cocktail business that Forbes estimates was sold for $100 million in 2011.

"It doesn't matter if you're bar tending or selling Christmas trees or working at a law firm," Frankel says. "Every single thing you do — if you do it to the best of your ability — will one day be valuable and will eventually be used in some unexpected way."

So there's no need to worry if you don't have a master plan in your twenties. Work hard at whatever you're doing. Once you discover your passion, you'll find a way to leverage your past experience.

Skinnygirl founder Bethenny Frankel reveals her two biggest business mistakes

Image may be NSFW.
Clik here to view.
bethenny frankel skinnygirl real housewives

Skinnygirl founder and author Bethenny Frankel says she makes career mistakes every day.

In a recent interview with Business Insider, she highlighted two of the biggest gaffes she's ever made — both of which occurred early on in her entrepreneurial career.

Frankel opened a pashmina and a cookie business before hitting it big with Skinnygirl. Both of those original companies failed, Frankel says, because first, she spread herself too thin, and second, she did not stick to a concrete business plan.

In the case of the pashmina business, Frankel explains that she became over-confident due to her initial flush of success. She began adding pajamas and ponchos to her lineup.

Then, the bottom dropped out. More and more people began to sell pashminas and the once rare and expensive scarves dropped dramatically in price.

She says that she lost $50,000 from the venture. According to Frankel, sticking with a business plan would have allowed her to budget and spend more thoughtfully during that time.

"I think that in business people don't realize how expensive things are going to be," Frankel says. "It's like going to a mall. You end up buying a lot of little cheap things and you come home and you don't have much as anything, whereas if you said, 'Okay, I'm going to the mall and I have $50 to spend. I want to buy one good thing.' It would be better than buying a lot of little crappy things. I think you have to just be aware of how you're going to spend and what your plan is."

However, Frankel warns aspiring entrepreneurs to not fall into the trap of allowing a business plan to completely paralyze progress.

"People sit in and want to perfect their business plan," Frankel told Business Insider. "That's just a piece of paper and some numbers. Really being able to get out there and execute is the thing."
